The crete senesi and the Abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore

One of the mistically unforgettable visit. We will arrive at the Abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore founded in 1300 by Saint Bernard de’ Tolomei, wher it is possible to listen to the Gregorian chants while we are walking next to the frescoes by Luca Signorelli and Sodoma near the Benedictine monks who show us their library with the old gilded manuscripts and antiphonaries

After Trequanda, homeland of the terracotta, we will have lunch in the heart of the Crete Senesi where truffle hunters still use the same trails their grandparents used to follow. We will go back to Siena taking amazing photos by the totems of Jean Paul Philippe, an artist who choose these metaphysical hills to live.
